About This Blog...
To be blessed doesn't mean that we
have received everything we have wanted in life. Quite the opposite...it
means that we have learned contentment in life with what God has
provided. I have to admit sometimes that is not easy...during those
times, I have to let God remind me of how blessed I am ~
"Blessed are the poor in
spirit..."
Being humble, allowing God to direct
- not my way - but His!
"Blessed are those who
mourn..."
Reminding me to bring my loss and
brokeness to Him,
"Blessed are the meek..."
Keeping me teachable, allowing the
Holy Spirit to continually instruct me on His paths.
"Blessed are those who hunger
and thirst after righteousness..."
Reminding me to allow God to fulfill
my deepest desires, looking to Him and the world around.
"Blessed are the merciful..."
Finding mercy is hard in today's
world filled with injustice and unethical desires. But God continually is
reminding me to look beyond the outer person and see the inner "God
created" soul.
"Blessed are the pure in
heart..."
Keeping my intentions in check!

peacemakers..."
St. Francis expressed it this way:
Lord, make me an instrument of your
peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury,pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may
not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen
